Book review and my trip to pune

Just last night i finished a novel by a writer whose first book titled on "some grades" comprising a prestigious Institute in India was a big success. After finishing the second book , i just thought how tough is for someone to repeat the same success.Mapping the same on an individual front,i realised that indeed its very difficult to sustain a good success all the time.

Coming back to the author, his first book was a superb one,it kinda mesemerises one to read it in one shot-and yes,i admit i too was hypnotised. It stuck a terrfic chord with me and to a large extent my coterie. But the second book lackes the imagination and creativity and looks sterotyped.May be external factors viz.the hype, expectations affect you a lot.

The leaf i got from this was one need to take each and every assignment as' mutually exclusive' to the previous ones.

Common man's chakra moved to pune last weekend. I liked that city.Reminded me of another serene and extremely beautiful city of Mysore.I figured some commonalities among the two:

  • Both are quite traditional in culture
  • Both are quite lush
  • Both are second fiddle to their state capitals
  • Both are eductaional hubs
  • Both are hinterlands
  • Most important even the demographic beauty in these two cities is very rich.

Connectivity between mumbai-pune is awesome.Nowonder thats one of the few credentials of indian infrastructure. One gets buses as frequent as his/her breath.Overall a Good trip.

Signing off...

I hate bragging but "I told you so" as far as the book goes.

Yeah me visited mysore. Was a great place. Naarad you should go there to actually find out. Mysore does have a decent demographic beauty.
